The annual Walk for the Centre, a walkathon to support the Centretown Community Food Centre, takes place on October 5, 2025. The event begins at the Canadian Martyrs Church at 100 Main Street at 1:30 p.m. for registration and photos. There will be music and a few speeches, and then the walk will start at around 2:20 p.m. The route crosses the Pretoria Bridge, goes north along the scenic Queen Elizabeth Walkway and the Rideau Canal and then returns to the Canadian Martyrs Church. There are two routes of two and four kilo-metres each. Join the walk or sponsor a team or walker!
